what can i upgrade my imac early 2009 to?

Hi.. I know a little old... but what can i upgrade to?

Mac os x 10.5.8

2.93 Ghz intel core 2 duo

4 GB memory 1067 MHz DDr3

I need to upgrade not sure what my computer can handle. I also need to upgrade Safari.

Yosemite; back up your data, click here, and read the entire page. Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC software such as Microsoft Office 2004; some other installed software may also be incompatible.
